Established in 2002, Stampriet Historical Guesthouse was created to honour the cultural and architectural heritage of the village while offering travellers a welcoming base in the Kalahari. The property sits on a gentle rise overlooking Stampriet, surrounded by lush gardens fed by underground water sources — a refreshing oasis in an otherwise arid landscape.
Every corner reflects the spirit of old Stampriet: antique décor, historical artefacts, stone buildings, and a warm, homely atmosphere that makes guests feel instantly at ease.
Our family has been running the guesthouse since 2012 and remains passionate about hosting. With roots in Stampriet dating back to 1950, when our grandparents settled here, we continue to live in and contribute to this community. Petro and her husband, Kobus Hayman, manage the guesthouse and are known for their warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile for every guest.
