A Heritage Oasis

on the Edge of the Kalahari

Welcome to

Stampriet

Historical Guesthouse

A peaceful retreat set within the lush river oasis of southern Namibia.

Surrounded by tall trees, flowing ponds, and the fascinating geology of the Kalahari, the guesthouse offers a warm, character‑filled stay for travellers seeking comfort, history, and heartfelt hospitality.

Whether you’re exploring the Kalahari or stopping over en route to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

This is a place where timeless charm and rural tranquillity come together.

Although we are located 60 kilometres from Mariental, guests love our historic setting and garden oasis as an overnight option. Continue your journey the next day via Mariental to Keetmanshoop or take the scenic route along the dry Auob Riverbed, passing limestone formations and red Kalahari dunes. Visit the Quiver Tree Forest and Giants Playground before reaching Keetmanshoop.
